Deep Tissue Massage in Kharghar

Slow, sustained pressure into the layers beneath. For knots that have outlasted every lighter approach.

60 / 90 min

Deep tissue massage uses sustained, focused pressure with the palms, forearms and sometimes the elbows, worked into one specific tight area rather than spread evenly across the whole body. Oil is used, but the pace is much slower than a relaxation massage: the therapist holds pressure in one place until the tissue actually responds, rather than gliding past it.

It's best suited to a genuinely tight spot that's been there a while, like a knot between the shoulder blades or a stiff lower back, rather than general full-body relaxation. If you've never had a massage before, this is a more intense starting point than Swedish. It's one of the three therapies Sector 7 is known for.

Say what pressure you want before the therapist starts, and speak up at any point if it's too much. Mild tenderness in the worked area for a day afterward is normal and usually settles on its own. Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes.

Common Questions

About Deep Tissue Massage

Is deep tissue massage painful?

It's firm and can feel intense over a stubborn area, but it shouldn't be sharp or unbearable. Tell your therapist if the pressure needs to come down.

How is this different from Swedish massage?

Swedish uses continuous, lighter strokes over the whole body for relaxation. Deep tissue holds sustained pressure in one specific tight area instead.

Will I be sore after deep tissue massage?

Mild tenderness in the area worked is common for a day afterward, similar to how a hard workout feels. Drink water and give it a day before deciding whether it needs a follow-up.

Which Sea Med Spa branch offers deep tissue massage?

Both branches. It's one of Sector 7's three signature specialties, alongside Balinese and Swedish massage, and it's also bookable at our Sector 11 branch.
